Ribbit ribbit, it’s time for the reveal of the crochet chubby frog amigurumi free crochet pattern here on the Yarnalina blog!

Inspiration & Description & Process
Crochet bees. Crochet strawberry cows. It’s time for crochet frogs.
This frog pattern really went through some surgeries aka a lot of frogging (pun intended) to become how it is as presented here on the blog.
I originally created legs and arms for the frog, but it ended up looking disproportionate to the point where I decided that it looks better off without them. There were many moments in making this frog amigurumi, where I began to debate if I should just give it a species change.
Since it was quite very literally just a blob.
But it still managed to make it’s debut here on the Yarnalina blog.
The blush was out of random at the very ended after a suggestion by my sister and I used a long strand of scrap yarn that I had lying around and put it to use on this frog amigurumi 🙂 It was just sewn across two or three stitches repeatedly to make it pop up for a more 3D effect on the cheek.
Remember to Share this Post to your fellow crocheter friends!
While you can definitely make the mouth in any way that you want, such as a smile, angry pout, or even no mouth would be just fine. I just chose to make mine as a little triangle smile because I thought that fit the best to my crochet chubby frog amigurumi 🙂
I don’t know what other colors you would chose to make this crochet frog amigurumi other than green, but an army of different shades of green frog amigurumis sounds awesome to me haha!
If you’d like another amigurumi crochet project as this, this crochet strawberry cow amigurumi and crochet baby penguin amigurumi could also be a wonderful project for you to tackle next!
