This pastel blue knit ribbed slouchy beanie is super beginner friendly with the simplest of stitches! Read on for the FREE pattern on the Yarnalina blog!

Inspiration & Description & Process
It started off with the realization that I didn’t have any slouchy beanies in my closet, only the protective ones from the one time I went skiing.
And as per the blog name, my forte definitely lies in crocheting rather than knitting. Since I never really sat down and knitted a project, unless you count a messed up hat I made years ago, I decided to try it out this time.
With of course, a beanie.
Any knitting beginner can make this knit ribbed slouchy beanie with the knowledge of only the knit & purl stitch!
I might be making myself another using this beautiful brass color and this gray color, though there are many other colors for you to choose from!

Knit Double Ribbed Slouchy Beanie
CO 90
R1 (RS) : Knit all
R2 (WS) : P2, *K2, P2*
Repeat Rows 1-2 until your desired length. For reference, I had a total of 76 rows or around 16.5in in length and 9in in width of my rectangle.

Assembly
Sew the rectangle into a tube and thread a piece of yarn through every stitch in one of the open sides, then pull it all together (ladder stitch). Then secure it with some extra stitches before cutting your yarn tail.
